Healthy Aging Society sponsors a symposium on how to explore desirable medical approaches to healthy old age life

As an era of centenarians emerges as the buzzword of society, concern over healthy old age lifestyle is on the rise. A symposium on how to explore desirable medical approaches to healthy old age life is taking place at the Life Science Research Institute of Seoul St. Mary¡¯s Hospital on May 27.
The academic seminar, sponsored by the Healthy Aging Society, is held under the theme of ¡°Making Life Healthy.¡±
The symposium offers 15 lectures in four different sessions healthy aging life habits and health changes,; diseases & nutrition,; medical life,; and ¡°special encounters.¡±
The session on healthy aging life habits and health changes is chaired by Director Paik Nam-sun of Ewha Womans¡¯ University Cancer Center for Women.
During the session, Prof. Jang Tae-soo of Dankook University speaks on how healthy aging can be developed in an age of centenarians, while Kim Kyung-chul, director of TheragenEtex gives lecture on checking one¡¯s body and disease with a genome.
Dr. Kim Hae-yeon of Philip Prime Care speaks on the topic ¡°Obesity is a disease, and How to Lose Weight by Eliminating Imbalance,¡± while Park Hee-min, director of Heritage Nursing Home, touches on chronic fatigue.
The second session on disease & nutrition is chaired by Vice Chairman Lee Yoon-soo of the Healthy Aging Society. During the session, President Kim Dong-hwan of the Korean Nutrition Society speaks on nutritional therapy design through body fat analysis and IVNT(intravenous micro-nutritional therapy) while Prof.
Chu Nam-suk of Ajou University School of Medicines gives lecture on the latest view on newly found Vitamin D treatment. Chung Un-joo, vice chairman of the Immunity and Clean Nutrition Society, speaks on young life with healthy mucous membrane and elastic blood vessel.
The third session on medical life is chaired by Dean Lee Bum-jin of Ajou University School of Pharmacy. Prof. Kim Hyung-min of Kyunghee University speaks on chronic disease and the possibility of specifically-tailored music treatment while Director Paik of Ewha Womans¡¯ University Cancer Center for Women on how to make life healthy and happy.
Dr. Chang Suk-won of an internal medicine clinic gives lecture on how to understand cancers, while President Chang Bong-keun of KBKLAB touches on the role of phytochemical on can-related fatigue.
The last session on special encounters is chaired by President Chung Jung-man of the Inseon Medical Foundation. The speakers of the session include actor Lim Hyun-sik on how life is a drama, Secretary General Lee Chan-hui of the Korean Broadcasting Press Club on the full understanding of the media, President Kim Sang-soo of Twin Asset Consulting on wise inheritance at an era of centenarians, and Kim Hyun-sik, an obstetrician, on women¡¯s healthy life.
