Acting President Maeng Dong-youl of KEPCO KPS urged his executives and staff members to achieve innovation in all areas, including technology, service and corporate culture, so the organization can become a global power plant solution provider. Acting President Maeng made the remarks at a ceremony to celebrate the 34th anniversary at the KEPCO KPS headquarters in Naju, Jeollanam-do, on April 2.
¡°(We) have to make breakthroughs to go forward as a company enjoying sustainable growth to combat great challenges of Korean and overseas business environment conditions, and innovation in all areas, including technology, service and corporate culture, to achieve our new vision of being reborn as a global power plant solution provider by overcoming unlimited competition,¡± he said.
Acting President Maeng called for ramping up competiveness of the conventional core businesses, expanding new growth business areas to secure future growth engines, creating innovation platforms to strengthen an implementation regime to achieve the vision and stressing KEPCO KPS members¡¯ creative spirit and merit-oriented corporate culture. He also stressed that KEPCO KPS devote itself to fulfilling social responsibility as a ¡°people¡¯s company¡± and achieve its desire to maintain continued growth.
KEPCO KPS has come a long way as a leading company in the Korean power generation equipment maintenance industry sector through 36 years of endless manpower and technology development, and the company has been recognized for technology prowess abroad.
In particular, despite stark Korean and overseas business conditions in 2017, KEPCO KPS chalked up 1.232 trillion won in sales, and the company saw its corporate values soar as its capitalization jumped from 598.5 billion won when it was listed in 2007 to 1.827 trillion won as the end of 2017.

KPECO KPS¡¯s Signing MOU with EVNEPS in Vietnam
KEPCO KPS signed an MOU with EVENEPs, a subsidiary of EVNGENCO3, a Vietnamese maintenance company in Hanoi on March 22 with Acting President Maeng and his EVNEPS counterpart in attendance.
Joining them in the signing ceremony were Minister Baek Un-gyu of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Vietnamese Trade and Industry Minister Tran Tuan Anh. The agreement calls for promoting business cooperation and manpower exchanges between the two companies in power unit operation & maintenance and technology manpower education.
