Daesang Co. won the Citation of the Ministry for Food and Drug Safety at the annual 2018 Conference of Korea Health Supplements Association, the company said on Feb. 22.
At the meeting held at the auditorium located in the association¡¯s head office in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province, Vice President Choi Chang-woo of the Well Life Business Headquarters of Daesang Co. received the citation together with representatives of the six food makers, including Korea Tobacco and Ginseng Corp. and the Pulmuwon Health and Living Co. from the Korea Health Supplements Association.
The association took into consideration the food makers¡¯ hygienic production processes for health foods, and distribution through a healthy network for the improvement of public health and the protection of consumers.
Chungjungwon of Daesang Corp. put on the market its spicy bean paste, considered salty and yet very tasty. It is styled after the Gyeongsang Provincial style hot bean paste, ¡°Sunchang Mixed Bean Paste.¡±
The bean paste is hot and is best paired with raw fish, which is the custom of Gyeongsang Province, which is known for mixing hot peppers, garlic and peanuts with sesame oil.
The hot bean paste goes well when eaten with broiled beef and vegetables. The price is 5,900 won per 450 g can.
