The commercial bank introduced a number of its products and services connected to the international sport events and holding marketing events around the country to publicize its being a fresh partner for the global winter sports events.
An official of the bank said the bank has been dong its full to play up the PyeongChang sports events as a true supporter for the events by extending its full support to the events and publicizing them.
KEB Hana Bank will take care of the Organizing Committee of PyeongChang Winter Olympics bank accounts for its funds including its receipts from the sale of tickets and other earnings, the accounts of the members of the committee, foreign athletes and spectators for deposits and withdrawals, and foreign exchange transactions, among others, through their accounts.
As the official supporter, the bank won the rights to use the emblem of the global sports events, the use of its designation as an official supporter, and the rights to hold various marketing events. In September, last year, the bank won the rights to receive the payments for the coins and currencies to be issued in commemoration of the global Winter sports events in PyeongChang.

KEB Hana Bank has been chosen as the official banking partner for next year’s PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
On April 18, the bank signed an agreement at its offices in Seoul with the PyeongChang organizing committee to serve as the Olympic Games’ official commercial bank sponsor. During the signing ceremony, the bank also made a donation to promising ski jumpers.
As the main banking partner, the bank will handle funds needed to run the Winter Olympic Games, as well as ticket sales. It will set up branches and ATMs across the Olympic venues to serve athletes, officials and visitors with their banking needs.
