Newly inaugurated President Kim Ki-nam in the Device Solutions Business, President Kim Hyun-seok in the Consumer Electronics Business, and President Koh Dong-jin in the IT & Mobile Communications Business will assemble at the CES to hold a joint meeting to release Samsung Electronics’ convergence strategies.
The theme “One Samsung” is a move that may be construed as the company’s efforts to unify and connect gadgets produced by Samsung Electronics as mobile, TV and home appliance into one. It means that each device will be connected through networks like IoT and WiFi to improve user’s convenience through connectivity.
Samsung Electronics plans to emphasize continuity among users’ gadgets by commonly employing AI platforms like Samsung’s BixBy of Galaxy. The company will showcase connectivity among gadgets and concentrate on consumer benefits during the CES.

Samsung Electronics will hold global strategy meetings next week to work out companywide strategies, business strategies and detailed plans of each business and each region prior to their participation in the CES 2018. The three business heads will preside over the meetings with a bevy of Korean and foreign company executives and staffs in their attendance.
Samsung Electronics is expected to release smart home products combining home appliance as “Family Hub” and “Samsung Connectivity” in which all products connected through the cloud can be controlled by one application on any device or operation system.
Samsung Electronics is forecast to present several scenarios on the kinds of experiences users can enjoy with the Family Hub. The company has already declared a plan to expand connectivity by having all home appliance products outfitted with smart functions by 2020.
