The Seoul National University's Advanced Center for Administrative Development Alumni (SNU-ACADA) hosted the 10th ACADA Fraternity Night on Nov. 30, with hundreds of alumni in attendance. A ceremony was also held to present the 10th Seoul National University's Advanced Center for Administrative Development Awards at the Lotte Hotel.
SNU-ACADA Chairman Lee Pil-woo delivered a speech in which he bid goodbye to the 2017 Jeongyu Year, the Year of the Hen, remembered as a turbulent year with lots of difficulties, including the North Korean nuclear issue, national security and the mismanagement of state affairs. He expressed hope the 2018 ¡°Musul Year,¡± the Year of the Dog, will be ushered in with hope of higher expectations.
¡°The Musul Year will be expected to a be a stormy year with such difficulties as the North Korean nuclear, national security, national economy, and social unrest issues like this year,¡± he said.
Chairman Lee said 2018 will be a year in which the state and alumni will make a leap forward. He also wished for the elevation of the 10th ACADA Fraternity Night and Seoul National University's ACADA ceremony to a meaningful and festive event to build a long-term foundation.
Chairman Lee extended his heart-felt thanks to Dean Lee Seung-jongof Seoul National University¡¯s Gradate School for Public Administration (GSPA), Vice Dean Chung Kwang-ho, Senior Professor Kim Byung-seop, and other faculty members, and SNU staffers as well as SNU ACADA executives and alumni for demonstrating their support and love.
In his commemorative speech, GSPA¡¯s Lee said, ¡°The nation¡¯s No. 1 Advanced Center for Administrative Development of GSPA has established itself as a center of networking for leading the nation through mutual exchanges of figures in important positions of society, and the SNU-ACADA has played a precious role in serving as a core network to retain the tradition and heritage of the GSPA.¡±

Lim In-bae, former lawmaker and ex-president of Korea Electrical Safety Corp., was presented with the 10th Advanced Center for Administrative Development Award in the public entity category. Lim is a member of the 46th class of Seoul National University's Advanced Center for Administrative Development.
The award in the public health category went to President Yoo Park-young of Well-Aging Clinic and Center. She was a member of the 83rd class of Seoul National University's Advanced Center for Administrative Development. Namkyung Construction Chairman Choi Young-jong was honored with the award in the private sector management category. He is a member of the 84th class of Seoul National University's Advanced Center for Administrative Development.
