Dong-A Socio Holdings is accelerating diverse efforts to make its corporate culture a volunteering, horizontal and more communicative among its executives and staff.

To this end, Dong-A Socio Holdings is introducing ¡°Casual Day¡± in which employees wear clothes of their choice instead of suits. The move is part of efforts to spread a flexible, creative corporate culture in which they are allowed to wear clothes the way their personal characters are honored.

Casual Day falls on the third Thursday of each month. On that day, executives and staff members with Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST and Dong-A Pharmaceutical wear such convenient clothes and shoes as jeans and sneakers.

¡°Family Day,¡± which debuted last year with the goal of making work and household duties more compatible, recently changed from the third Wednesday of each month to the third Friday. On that day, employees are allowed to call it quits for the day one hour earlier than usual.

¡°Amidst a freewheeling atmosphere, changing their way of thinking and diverse creative ideas can take place,¡± an official with Dong-A Social Holdings said. The group will implement diverse activities to make a corporate culture a more autonomous and flexible one, he added.
