POSCO, 1st Korean Co. to See CP Evaluation Rating of AA for 4th Consecutive Time
Commemoration of the late steel magnate and POSCO honorary chairman Park's death takes place

31(Mon), Dec, 2012

POSCO became the first company in Korea to receive an AA grade for the 4th consecutive time in the ¡®Compliance Program.¡¯  POSCO, since having acquired an AA grade in the ¡®Compliance Program,¡¯ which was first started in 2006 by the Fair Trade Commission, has successfully maintained the highest AA grade in the re-evaluation every two years for 7 years.
Especially in this year¡¯s evaluation, 7 Family companies including POSCO CHEMTECH, POSCO Specialty Steel, POSCO C&C, POSCO PLANTECH, POSMATE, POSCO M-TECH, and POSCO A&C also received A grades, officially being recognized for settling in a fair trade culture in investing companies as well.  According to evaluation results, POSCO as well as the 7 investing companies are given the benefit of reduced surcharges and exemption from official authority investigations for a certain period of time by the Fair Trade Commission.
POSCO and POSCO Family companies plan to continue hosting fair trade academies, internal and external specialty education, and promote self-investigation on fair trade, so that the fair trade culture can settle in within the corporate culture more proactively and secure an image of a model fair trade company.
