Ewha Womans University Medical Center Marks 6th Anniversary of Stomach & Colorectal Cancer Joint Treatment Center
Medical staff joins forces in making bibimbap with patients, holding other anniversary events
Medical staff of the Stomach & Colorectal Cancer Joint Treatment Center roll up their sleeves to join forces in making bibimbap with patients in celebration of the sixth anniversary of the center on Sept. 8.
Ewha Womans University Medical Center held diverse events on Sept.8 in celebration of the sixth anniversary of the opening of the Stomach & Colorectal Cancer Joint Treatment Center, making them an occasion to communicate with patents. Medical staff of the center rolled up their sleeves to join forces in making bibimbap, mixed rice, with patients in an event at the Ewha Rest Area on the third floor of the hospital.
Participating in the event were not only medical staff of the Stomach & Colorectal Cancer Joint Treatment Center, but also Kim Seung-chul, vice president in charge of medical care at Ewha Womans University Medical Center, President Yoo Kyung-ha of the Ewha Womans University Mokdong Medical Center, and Park Eun-hye, head of the Planning and Coordination Office, and other executives. The participants, wearing chefs¡¯ caps, made bibimbap with five colored vegetables and cooked rice together with patients, sharing it with the latter, and prayed for their quick recovery.
The center held an educational session, titled ¡°Stomach/Colorectal Health Management¡± along with other events, including the one to celebrate the patients¡¯ full recovery, who obtained gifts and a certificate of full recovery from the center.
¡°The sixth anniversary celebration of the opening of the Stomach & Colorectal Cancer Joint Treatment Center is designed not only to give hope and courage to those who receive medical treatment but also to congratulate those who have fully recovered, and many people¡¯s participation is much significant,¡± said Kim Kwang-ho, head of the center.
Kim expressed a desire for his center to continue to hold these events to give hope to patients and congratulate them.
