president Kim Chang-beom of Hanwha Chemical said the company should aim to be a leading chemical company by emphasizing creativity and competitiveness. The new vision was declared on Jan. 8 at a ceremony at the company¡¯s Central Research Institute in Daejeon, where some 200 company officers and staff participated.
He also said the key words for 2016 are ¡°smart, strong and steady.¡± He called on each individual employee to be a professional in his or her own field through steady efforts to develop. He also wants them to be strong and not be deterred from achieving the new vision.
To this end, the company will use the key words in every important meeting.
To achieve the new vision, Hanwha Chemical has also decided to expand the number of high value-added products and advance its operational structure.
The company will cooperate with the Korea Institute for Science and Technology (KAIST) on the development of the new technologies for petrochemical products, oil refinement technology and other technologies with high business potential to compete in the global market.
