The new vision includes strategies to grow to be among the 10 largest life insurers in the world

KB Life Insurance Co. celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 2 at its head office in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. President Kim Jin-hong said in his congratulatory speech that the life insurance firm has declared its vision to be the No. 1 life partner for its customers with its management target to be counted among the 10 largest life insurance firms in Korea. The life insurer has been working to ensure that its customers lives are more affluent with promising futures through the experiences of its top life insurance experts.
Kim said he would like thank the customers and especially the shareholders for their love and support over the past 10 years and to officers, staff, and their families for their hard work for the company. He would like to use the next 10 years as a period of challenge for the company to grow to be among the 10 largest life insurers in Korea with its main objective of being a lifetime partner for its customers.
He explained the vision to every one of the company¡¯s officers and staff so that they can share the burden of achieving its vision on time.
In order to make sure that the vision is achieved, Kim stressed that the company should boost its trust and customer value; strengthen its operational strength; build a base for its long-term stable profit growth; and build a growth base centered around risks based on the four management strategies and 12 sectional strategic tasks that he pointed out to be handled by a task force to be launched later.
The ceremony also included a number of sideline events such as an exhibition of photographic glimpses into the activities of the company¡¯s past decade and the presentation of citations for long-term employees and employees with excellent performance records, accompanied by the presentation of gifts to excellent customers.
KB Life has been an active company in the area of social services with the all of its officers and staff participating in the clean up program for the Seoul National Memorial Cemetery and the Seoul Senior Citizens Welfare Food Service Center. They also cleaned up Hyochang Park in Seoul where a number of late patriots are buried including Kim Koo, Lee Bong-chang, and Yun Pong-gil, who fought for Korea¡¯s independence from the Japanese colonial yoke. Yun killed a number Japanese leaders including military leaders by throwing a bomb at a Japanese event in Shanghai, China, in 1932, to follow his hero Ahn Choong-kun, a Korean patriot who shot to death Hirobumi Ito as he arrived at Harbin Railroad Station in northeast China in 1909. Ito was a major Japanese figure who engineered the colonization of Korea in 1910.
