Daewoo Engineering and Constru-ction Co. has been selling its Pine Prugio apartments (539 apartment units in six 25-storey buildings) near the Songnae Subway Station on line 1 in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, since early May. The complex will open for residents in October 2016.

The Songnae Subway Station is one of the busiest locations in Bucheon as subway line 1 and the Outer Circular Highway meet nearby.

The 539 apartments come in various sizes including 124 with 62 sq. meters of space, 195 with 74 sq. meters in space, and 220 with 84 sq. meters in space, with all of them less than 85 sq. meters in size, the size most popular among people who want to have their own homes.

Since subway line 1 is accessible only several minutes on foot, the location is just right for people who commute to Seoul or Incheon. Also accessible are some 40 bus lines converging at Songnae Subway Station, and in 2015 the bus stops there are due to be refurbished so getting on and off the buses will be easier. Also nearby is the Seoul-Incheon Expressway Songnae IC for people who want to drive to their destinations.

The apartment complex has many facilities for the comfort of the residents: It’s close to shopping malls and entertainment facilities such as CGV movie theaters, in addition to government offices, courts, judiciary offices, and medical facilities such as Suncheonhyang University Hospital. Also, it is close to schools such as Songnae primary school, Bucheon Girls Middle School, Bucheon High School, and Songnae High School to name a few. The residential complex will soon have a fitness center surrounded by flowering plants and trees along the walkways including pine trees and cherry blossoms. All parking lots will be located in the basements of the buildings.

For ease of use for the residents, sinks will have sensors attached to save water, dryers with have a function to kill germs, and digital door locks will not require batteries. Also to come with an apartment will be a ‘smart door camera,’ which will take photos of anyone either at the door or passing through the door to keep thieves away. Other special equipment that comes with each apartment are an energy monitoring system, a smart control system, and a power suspension system, among those designed to reduce energy consumption.

One of the advantages of having a residence at the Pine Prugio at Songnae Station is its close location to the Songnae Station on subway line — only 150 meters away — which is only three stops from Kuro Station, 17 minutes to Shindorim-dong, and 30 minutes to Yongsan Station on an express subway train.

The huge square in front of the subway station is the converging point of some 40 bus lines that go to such key locations as Gangnam, Yeouido, and Bundang in Seoul and places like Ilsan in Gyeonggi Province northwest of the capital. Next year, the plaza will be refurbished to make it even better for bus passengers. The Songnae IC on the Seoul-Incheon Expressway will also facilitate drivers to go anywhere in the country, including Seoul and Incheon, through the interchange.
