Financial Supervisory Service selects ¡°Difference in True Mind Reimbursement Installment Insurance¡± product for the award

Mirae Asset Life Insurance Co., headed by Senior Vice Chairman Choi Hyun-man, said the company¡¯s ¡°Difference in True Mind Reimbursement Installment Insurance¡± was chosen as the Best New Financial Product for 2013 by the Financial Supervisory Service, the company said on Dec. 31.

 The award is given by the FSC for the best new financial product provided in consideration of creativity, effort, and contribution by the product to the development of the financial industry every year.

The award-winning life insurance product includes the commission in its premium payable in equal annual installments for seven years maximum so that when the policyholders want to terminate the insurance, they can get all the paid premiums back, with no deduction whatsoever, drastically increasing the amount of money policyholders get back, the company said.

The company said it is a life insurance product designed from the point of view of the customers to take care of any problems when they terminate their insurance policy in the middle of the agreed period as a result of unavoidable situations.

Furthermore, the life insurance product has domestic stock-type, domestic bond-type, as well as a domestic stock-and-bond type to give customers a wider choice with the spreading of investments as an option. The rising popularity of the insurance product so far sold 220 billion won worth over 12,000 cases.

The company also launched the ¡°Visiting Customers to Give Information and Service¡± program from Dec. 13 in a bid to strengthen its customer service.

The company has been running the ¡°Visiting FC Business Service on Behalf of Customers¡± since 2008 for those customers who are too busy to visit the company¡¯s offices due to their schedules or long distances. The financial counselors (FC) will visit them and take care of their business for them on their behalf, which became quite popular among customers.

During the visits to the customers, the FCs will explain to them the various benefits to make sure that they take advantage of them, update their addresses, help them to see if they have collected all the insurance money due to them, and analyze the guarantees associated with the lifecycles and financial environment.

The FCs will also visit their customers whose insurance policies are set to expire soon or the dates for entitlement receipt are approaching and those whose payments of the premium are completed to remind them of the matter and present little gifts, along with tailor-made services.

The company has also been holding events to present small gifts to its customers in appreciation of their patronage as life insurance policyholders.

Customers who win the lottery event held between Jan. 13 and March 31 will be given 1 million won in prize money. Vice President Lee Sang-do of the Customer Service Headquarters of Mirae Life Insurance said they will continue to provide ¡°sincere customer services.¡±
