The annual event designed to publicize pleasure of cooking at home attracts huge crowd

Samyang Co. held its eighth ¡°Q-One Homemade Festival¡± on Dec. 6 with Q-one homemade customers at the Q-One Homemade Plaza in Wonnam-dong, Seoul, the company said.
The event was to publicize the image of the Q-One Homemade brand by recommending the pleasurable homemade culture as Christmas draws nearer and also to thank the customers for their affection for the Q-One Homemade brand throughout the year. The company invited 12 couples to the event among the customers who showed interest in foods on the Q-One blog and applied to participate in the event.
The participants to the festival enjoyed such events as Christmas tree cake making, face painting, photo-zone, and others that they would remember fondly later. In particular, the Q-One homemade Christmas tree cake were excellent Christmas gifts for the participants. Every participant also got a Q-One ¡°Happy Homemade Set¡± as a gift.
In the meantime, Samyang has been publicizing Q-One Homemade brand products at the Q-One Homemade Plaza since its opening in 2009 through kind and close communication with its customers and its diverse and interesting events. The public relations activities will continue for Q-One Homemade brand products to show the cooking methods that all the family members can enjoy through the Q-One Homemade blog.
Samyang said it will deliver Christmas cakes to neighborhood cake shops so that people can enjoy the special cakes developed and made with its special confectionary methods and food-stylist skills so that they can spend a warm Christmas holiday at home.
As a cake store owner in Ssangmun-dong, Seoul, said, ¡°Samyang¡¯s service will be a great help in selling cakes, as most of the neighborhood cake stores are quite small.¡±
Officials of Samyang said the company has been carrying out diverse support activities to help the small neighborhood cake stores in such areas as menu development and marketing, and the company plans to expand its support for mutual survival with those small cake stores.
In the meantime, Samyang has been held more than 150 technology seminars annually for those neighborhood cake stores, window bakeries, and retailers of confectionary material across the country, touring various neighborhoods in Seoul and other cities across the country. The seminars include education on marketing to attract customers and examples of successful marketing efforts.
The company¡¯s internet homepage, www.serveq.co.kr, has all the customer support services for confectionary and bakery techniques, along with customer support service programs, the officials said.
