KB Kookmin Card announced on April 2 that it is pursuing support to alleviate the burden of fuel and transportation costs in response to growing financial strain on customers from rising oil prices caused by the instability in the Middle East.
This measure focuses on increasing tangible benefits in essential expenditure areas, such as fuel and public transportation services.
KB Kookmin Card provides benefits of up to 150 won per liter by adding an extra 50 won when using fuel-specialized credit cards.

It also supports 100% cashback on annual fees for new and dormant customers who apply for four types of credit cards that include fuel discount benefits.
Customers using the KB Kookmin K-Pass Card will receive an additional 30% of their K-Pass refund.
The company will provide this benefit to 50,000 people through a lottery by the end of May.
Cashback benefits will be provided through a lottery to customers who make payment of 10,000 won or more using the KB Kookmin K-Pass Card at Onnuri Gift Certificate-affiliated stores.
Its purpose is to support customers burdened by rising prices while simultaneously boosting small business owners¡¯ sales.
KB Kookmin Card also prepared a support measure for all KB Kookmin Card users.
Among customers who spend 100,000 won or more on fuel and public transportation, 2,111 people will be selected by lottery to receive fuel subsidies of 1 million won (one winner), 500,000 won (10 winners), 50,000 won (100 winners), and 5,000 won (2,000 winners).
Since March 27, KB Kookmin Card has been providing information on government policies related to transportation and energy through KB Pay¡¯s main screen.
It also provides details such as license plate numbers permitted for driving on specific days of a week following the implementation of the five-day vehicle restriction system to save energy, helping customers easily check policy details.
Verification of Stablecoin Payment Technology
KB Kookmin Card announced on April 9 that it will expand cooperation with global blockchain network Solana and digital asset infrastructure company AhnLab Blockchain Company to increase the feasibility of its stablecoin-based payment model.
The purpose of this collaboration is to move beyond the preparatory stage of the payment model that has been pursued previously and to increase the possibility of applying it to actual services.
The three companies aim to secure the scalability of a payment infrastructure based on various partnerships.
KB Kookmin Card will focus on inspecting and resolving technical issues that may arise during the process of implementing payments in actual merchant environments in collaboration with Solana.
It plans to verify the feasibility of practical payment application by utilizing the global blockchain network which has strengths in fast processing speeds and low fees.
By teaming up with AhnLab Blockchain Company, KB Kookmin Card is carrying out technical verification on the entire process ranging from stablecoin wallet creation and management to payment approval to settlement processing.
Based on digital asset security and regulatory compliance solutions, they are collaborating to secure stability and reliability and to build an operational model capable of actual service application.
Giveaway Event for Pro Baseball Season
KB Kookmin Card announced on April 6 that it will hold a giveaway event on KB Pay to celebrate the start of a new professional baseball season.
This giveaway event titled ¡°Get Essential Items for Watching Pro Baseball at Home with KB Pay!¡± will be conducted in three phases until May 8.
For customers who apply for the event and agree to KB Pay push notification conditions during the event period, KB Kookmin Card will select 2,000 winners in each phase with a total of 6,000 winners receiving prizes to enjoy watching professional baseball games at home.
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Card is marketing Doosan Bears KB Card in collaboration with the Doosan Bears Baseball Club.
It offers a discount of up to 50% on Doosan Bears home game tickets and official merchandise, a 20% discount on food and beverages at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.
