Shinhan Card Launches Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card by Partnering with German Carmaker

Shinhan Card launched Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card in three tiers on April 13. The three are the Manufaktur, Exclusive, and Avantgarde Types.

The Manufaktur Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card’s annual gift service allows users to choose from 550,000 MyShinhan Points (Discount) or 30,000 Korean Air mileage points (SkyPass), or common options including a 550,000-won Shinsegae gift certificate, a 600,000-won hotel voucher, or a 650,000-won dining voucher.

Manufaktur Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card (Discount) offers a payment date discount of up to 1.5% on domestic spending and up to 3% on overseas spending, depending on a previous month’s spending.

Manufaktur Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card (SkyPass) accrues 1 mileage point for every 1,500 won spent domestically and internationally, with an additional 1 mileage point for every 1,500 won spent overseas.

This credit card has no limits on domestic discounts or domestic mileage point accumulation while its additional overseas mileage accumulation is capped at 5,000 won per month.

In addition, based on the previous month’s spending, Manufaktur Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card (Discount) offers a discount of up to 200 won per liter for fuel purchases and up to 40% for electric vehicle charging within a monthly limit of 50,000 won based on discount amounts.

Within a monthly limit of 70,000 won, a discount of up to 50% is applied for Mercedes-Benz subscription and exclusive product payments, discounts of up to 3% on Coupang, up to 5% on food delivery apps and up to 3,000 won on KakaoT, up to 5 times per month.

Customers of this credit card are allowed to enjoy airport lounge services up to 5 times per month.

Exclusive Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card offers an annual gift service where you can choose one of the following — 120,000 My Shinhan Points (Discount), 6,000 Korean Air Mileage Points (SkyPass), a 120,000-won Shinsegae gift certificate or a 150,000-won dining voucher (Discount and SkyPass).

Exclusive Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card (Discount) provides a payment date discount of up to 1.2% on domestic spending and up to 3% on overseas spending, depending on a previous month’s spending performance.

Exclusive Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card (SkyPass) offers the same services, discounts and accumulation limits as those of the Manufaktur Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card.

Within a monthly limit of 30,000 won based on discount amounts, Exclusive Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card users can enjoy a discount of up to 150 won per liter on fuel and up to 30% on electric vehicle charging, depending on a previous month’s spending figures.

Additionally, within a monthly limit of 50,000 won, users can take up to 20% off from Mercedes-Benz subscription and exclusive product payments, enjoy discounts of up to 3% on Coupang, up to 5% on delivery apps, and up to 3,000 KRW on Kakao T, up to three times a month.

They are allowed to use airport lounges up to three times a month.

Avantgarde Mercedes-Benz Shinhan Card offers 50,000 My Shinhan Points as an annual gift service.

Depending on a previous month’s spending, you can receive a payment date discount of up to 1.2% on domestic spending and up to 2% on overseas spending.

There is no limit on the discount amount. It also gives discounts for gas, charging electric cars, food delivery services and online shopping among others.

Expanding Welfare and Cultural Support for Military Service Members

Shinhan Card held a meeting with the Army Headquarters to discuss measures to support the welfare and culture of military personnel on April 17.

The Army Headquarters presented commemorative gifts to Shinhan Card to express gratitude for the latter’s welfare supports for soldiers including the establishment of Areumin Libraries within barracks.

Shinhan Card has been operating Areumin Libraries as part of its social contribution initiatives since 2019.

To date, the libraries have been opened in a total of seven units.

These facilities serve as spaces that support soldiers’ self-development and relaxation by utilizing eco-friendly designs and digital devices.

This year, the credit card issuer will open additional Areumin Libraries.
