KOSPO President Kim Joon-dong made the rounds to each office and exchanged greetings with staffers.
The offices expressed diverse resolutions and pledges on the occasion of the new year, and in reply, President Kim gave words of encouragement.

KOSPO Declares ¡®War against Industrial Disasters¡¯
On Jan. 6, Management and labor of Korea Southern Power Co. declared a ¡°war against industrial disasters¡± and pledged their determination to achieve a disaster-free year.
KOSPO held a ¡°safety resolution rally¡± designed to make 2026 an industrial disaster-free year at Gwangalli Beach in Busan with some 150 KOSPO executives and staffers, including President Kim and Labor Union Chief Kim Jong-woo in attendance.
The event coincided with a New Year¡¯s sunrising event. Participants vowed their resolution to create safe, healthy working conditions to achieve three goals – disaster-free, accident-free and injury-free.
At the rally, KOSPO President Kim called for participants to ¡°ensure safety with a resolute determination¡± and delivered a strong message on safety management.
President Kim, stressing the catchphrase ¡°No Safety without Pain, No Safety without Behavior,¡± said he would devote himself to creating a safety environment in which the right to stop work is observed naturally on the spot and basics and principles are maintained.
KOSPO is 1st Power Company in Korea to Build ¡®Renewable Energy AI Learning Data¡¯
Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO) became the nation¡¯s first power company to set up AI learning data targeting renewable energy facilities.
It is predicted to accelerate the digital transformation of renewable energy facility operation and maintenance.
KOSPO held a briefing session on the completion of a project to build a large-sized AL expansion ecosystem in 2025 at KOSPO headquarters in Busan on Jan. 8.
The state-financed project was implemented by KOSPO last September to upgrade AI capabilities and develop services. It was awarded by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIA.
KOSPO systematically built image data with AI learning prioritizing defects that have a serious impact on the operation of equipment, such as ruptured wind power blades and damaged solar panels.
KOSPO offered an environment for verifying wind power and photovoltaic power generation equipment and gathered data and conducted AI modeling in cooperation with Advisor Lauren and Boda.
