With the goal of becoming the ¡°No. 1 digital financial group growing alongside the people,¡± KB Financial Group will steadily expand its digital ecosystems, connecting finance and everyday life.
Centered around the group¡¯s flagship super app, ¡°KB Star Banking,¡± the company maximizes customer convenience by providing a one-stop solution for core services from its major affiliates.
Furthermore, by integrating with non-financial lifestyle platforms, such as real estate (KB Real Estate), automobiles (KB Cha Cha Cha), healthcare (KB O¡¯Care) and telecommunications (KB Liiv M), KB Financial Group provides financial services that permeate every aspect of customers¡¯ daily lives.
Through this, KB Star Banking became the first commercial bank to surpass 13.7 million monthly active users (MAU), solidifying its position as Korea¡¯s leading general financial platform.
Another factor in winning the prize was KB Financial Group¡¯s differentiated AI strategy.
KB Financial Group has established the ¡°KB AI Agent Roadmap¡± and is promoting the introduction of approximately 300 AI agents across 58 core business areas including sales, customer services, compliance, and business support, by 2026.
To this end, in April, KB Financial Group launched the KB Gen AI Portal, the first group-wide AI platform co-created in the Korean financial industry.
Based on an AI development environment that ranges from no-code approaches to a professional developer level, KB Financial Group is driving innovation in employee work styles and financial services.
KB Kookmin Bank, a major affiliate of KB Financial Group, has proactively introduced private banker (PB) agents, relationship manager (RM) agents and financial consulting agents to its sales activities, enabling employees to precisely analyze customers¡¯ investment tendencies and market trends and propose customized portfolios.
KB Financial Group is also securing leadership in new business areas, such as digital assets, keeping pace with the rapidly changing financial landscape and government initiatives to reform its systems.
Since June, the financial group has operated the Digital Asset Response Council to explore systematic group-wide responses and synergy creation strategies among major affiliates.

Hosting 7th KB Tech Forum ¡®PLAY with AI¡¯
KB Financial Group held the 7th KB Tech Forum ¡°PLAY with AI¡± at New KB Kookmin Bank Building in Yeouido, Seoul, on Nov. 28.
The forum brought together KB Chairman Yang Jong-hee, Lee Chang-kwon, head of KB Financial Group¡¯s Digital and IT Division and representatives from all affiliates to discuss the latest digital and AI technologies.
The KB Tech Forum is the group¡¯s largest technology sharing event. It has been held annually since 2021 to strengthen digital financial competitiveness and foster a creative technology ecosystem.
This year, the forum drew approximately 200 attendees.
They included executives from the tech, AI, and digital divisions of all affiliates, including KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, and KB Kookmin Card and employees from key partners.
The forum shared the latest technological trends and practical application knowhow.
Under the slogan ¡°Play, Learn and Advance with AI,¡± the forum was held as an interactive event where employees could directly experience and utilize the latest AI technologies and AI agents to enhance their development capabilities.
KB Financial Group hosted a booth for agent demonstrations and a vibe coding experience zone, while key partners Microsoft, AWS, and LG CNS booths had themes for AI coding and ¡°on-premise assistant & agent experiences,¡± allowing employees from each affiliate to experience the latest technologies firsthand.
The event was live streamed to encourage all employees to participate in knowledge sharing and communications.
