Shinhan Financial Group announced that it held the 2025 Shinhan Future¡¯s Lab Vietnam Demo Day at its Shinhan Vietnam Headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Sept. 18. 
The 2025 Shinhan Future¡¯s Lab Vietnam Demo Day was held to support Korean startups seeking to make a foray into the Vietnamese market by enabling them to directly communicate with local investors and partners and find practical business opportunities. 
Shinhan Financial Group is leveraging its 10 years of startup incubation expertise and the group¡¯s global network to accelerate the global expansion of innovative Korean companies, providing general support for their overseas expansion. 
The event was attended by approximately 100 key figures from the financial and startup sectors of both countries, including officials from the State Bank of Vietnam, Kim Dong-hwan, Director General of Digital Finance Policy at the Financial Services Commission, Cho Yong-byeong, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Banks, and Kim Geon, Chairman of the Korea Fintech Support Center.

The event began with an opening ceremony and featured various programs, including IR presentations by 10 participating startups and sharing the results of business agreements with local companies. 
Business meetings with investors and partners were also held to support participating startups in expanding their local networks and laying the groundwork for cooperation. 
¡°We hope this Demo Day will serve as a crucial starting point for the global advancement of Korean startups,¡± a Shinhan Financial Group official said. 
¡°Leveraging Shinhan Financial Group¡¯s 10 years of experience in fostering startups and its global network, we will actively support innovative Korean companies¡¯ overseas expansion and continue to expand our productive funding to help them sharpen their competitiveness.¡±
Meanwhile, since its launch in 2015, Shinhan Future¡¯s Lab has achieved the following results as of the end of August: They incubated 516 startups, investment worth 136.8 billion won, promoted 332 collaborative projects, selected29 companies likely to grow into unicorns, and supported the overseas expansion of 91 companies including those in Vietnam and Japan. 
This year, in collaboration with the Fintech Center Korea, the company is further strengthening its local network by establishing a global expansion track linking Japan and Vietnam, actively supporting the global expansion of Korean startups.
¡°Sharing Hope for Chuseok¡± Campaign
Shinhan Financial Group announced that it held the ¡°Sharing Hope for Chuseok¡± Campaign for four days from Sept. 29 to celebrate Chuseok, the nation¡¯s biggest holiday. About 2,000 employees participated in the campaign. 
The ¡°Sharing Hope for Chuseok¡± campaign is a volunteer activity where group employees use their lunch breaks to purchase goods for vulnerable groups at nearby traditional markets and support struggling small business owners.
This campaign previously focused on the holding company and Shinhan Bank. This time, it expanded to include participation from all Shinhan affiliates. 
Employees used 100 million won worth of Onnuri gift certificates to purchase traditional market goods and deliver them to marginalized groups.
Holding company and Shinhan Bank employees conducted the campaign at Namdaemun Market. Others carried out the campaign at Gwangjang Market and Yeongdeungpo Market. 
Shinhan Financial Group anticipates that this activity will simultaneously realize the dual social values of revitalizing traditional markets and supporting the marginalized, establishing the campaign as a representative social contribution activity that embodies Shihan Financial Group¡¯s mission of ¡°Compassionate Finance.¡±
