Hana Bank announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Veterans Association to promote the welfare of veterans, former military personnel, and employees, and to foster win-win cooperation.

The signing ceremony was held at the Korean Veterans Association headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul on Oct. 2. It was attended by key officials from both organizations, including Shin Sang-tae, chairman of the Korean Veterans Association, and Lee Ho-sung, president of Hana Bank.

Starting with this MOU, Hana Bank will exclusively manage the Korean Veterans Association¡¯s financial affairs for the next three years and provide various financial benefits the association¡¯s members and employees, including lower interest rates on credit loans, exemptions from financial service fees and preferential exchange rates.

Furthermore, by providing a Hana Bank mobile branch for the Korean Veterans Association, the lender will create a digital financial environment that allows them to conveniently conduct banking transactions without having to visit a bank branch.

It will also provide on-site asset management consulting services to veterans and employees.

Furthermore, Hana Bank will actively participate in the Korean Veterans Association¡¯s community-focused sharing and volunteer activities and collaborate to jointly realize ESG values.

¡°With this agreement, Hana Bank will provide differentiated financial services unique to Hana Bank for the members and employees of the Korean Veterans Association,¡± Hana Bank President Lee said.

¡°We will continue to provide substantial and generous support as a reliable financial partner not only to elevate the status and welfare of veterans who have dedicated themselves to Korea but to think about a better future for them.¡±

The Korean Veterans Association, the largest veterans¡¯ organization in Korea, has been actively engaged in various activities since its establishment in 1952 to protect the rights and interests of veterans and to promote national security awareness.

Launch of Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service

Hana Bank announced on Sept. 30 that it has launched the Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service which allows users to check real-time virtual asset prices and useful information related to virtual assets through its flagship mobile banking app, Hana One Q.

The Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service is part of a business agreement signed between Hana Bank and Dunamu, operator of Upbit, a leading virtual asset exchange in Korea.

Hana Bank customers will be able to check the prices of the top five virtual asset stocks by market capitalization provided by Upbit through the Playground Section of Hana One Q¡¯s benefits page.

Moreover, the service offers various information including a virtual asset glossary and the latest trends to help even newcomers easily understand and have interest in virtual assets.

In addition to the newly launched Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service, Hana Bank has also reorganized its Hana One Q Playground Service by segmenting its menu into five categories.

The five are 100% Winnings, Benefits, Cash Talk, Fun and Travel.

This upgrade allows customers to more conveniently access a variety of financial information and entertainment content.

Playground launched in April to provide customers with a variety of benefits in a fun and easy way has steadily gained popularity, surpassing 400,000 subscribers since its launch.

¡°With this Playground reorganization, Hana Bank can now offer a variety of content that offers practical benefits and entertainment that benefit customers¡¯ lives beyond just finance,¡± said a representative of Hana Bank¡¯s Digital Channel Division.

¡°We anticipate that the Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service will help customers new to virtual assets more easily understand the concept.¡±
