Shinhan Card Takes Home 10th Prize at Top-Three Global Design Awards

Shinhan Card announced on Aug. 28 that its Shinhan Card, The BEST-X and Trip Pass Card, picked up two of the main awards in the Brand & Communication category at the Red Dot Design Award 2025. Shinhan Card has now earned10 awards across the world’s top-three design award competitions.

The Red Dot Design Award is recognized as one of the world’s top-three design award competitions, alongside Germany’s iF Design Award and the United States’ IDEA.

This marks Shinhan Card’s second Red Dot Design Award main prize, following the first in 2022.

The credit card company has now won a total of 10 prizes at the three biggest award competitions in the world — 3 Red Dot Awards, 5 IF Design Awards, and 2 IDEA Awards.

Shinhan Card The BEST-X is a premium product launched in February.

It emphasizes luxury by utilizing the letter B from BEST as the main design motif, featuring a metallic sheet effect and intricate patterns.

It earned high praises for providing a differentiated customer experience through its exclusive transparent packaging.

Shinhan Card announces on Aug. 28 that its “Shinhan Card The BEST-X” and “Trip Pass Card” won two main prizes in the Brand & Communication category at the Red Dot Design Award 2025 in Germany.

Trip Pass Card is a prepaid card for foreigners created in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea, the National Museum Foundation, and Lordsystem.

It captures Korea’s unique cultural and artistic excellence in its design by incorporating a plate that reproduces the texture and color of Goryeo celadon and the beauty of mother-of-pearl inlay craftsmanship into the card plate.

Both cards were selected as winners of Excellent Design prizes in the 41st Good Design Awards.

This marks Shinhan Card’s third consecutive year of taking home the Excellent Design prize.

The Good Design Awards are Korea’s premier design awards, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

Selected products receive the government-certified GD (Good Design) Mark.

Promotion for Seoul Multi-Child Family Happiness Card Users

Shinhan Card announced on Sept. 14 that it will hold events for customers of Shinhan Seoul Multi-Child Family Happiness Card to help reduce the burden of childcare.

Until Oct. 12, Shinhan Card will offer a 15% bill discount to customers who spend 150,000 won or more using the credit card at the Multi-Child Family Support Festa on MomQ, a childcare-specialized shopping mall operated by Yuhan-Kimberly.

Each customer can participate once with a maximum discount of 25,000 won.

If a customer combines the event’s own exclusive coupon pack offering up to 50% discounts for multi-child families with Shinhan Card’s bill discount benefit, he or she will be able to enjoy even more affordable purchases of childcare products.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government’s childcare goods specialty mall, Birth Support Mall, also offers a 20% discount coupon exclusively for Shinhan Seoul Multi-Child Family Happiness Card users.

Additionally, they will be able to receive up to a 10% discount for payments at approximately 150 medium-to-large affiliated merchants (ezMembers merchants) partnered with Shinhan Card such as Bebecook and Alvins.

Shinhan Air One Card Plus Promotion

Shinhan Card announced on Sept. 16 that it will run a special promotion for its Shinhan Air One Card - a specialized card for accumulating Korean Air miles -from September through the end of 2025.

Until Dec. 31, overseas payments made with Shinhan Air One Card will earn 1% of the lump-sum payment as My Shinhan Points.

This benefit is provided separately from the existing card benefit of earning up to 2 miles per 1,000 won spent overseas and is available without any prior month’s spending requirements.

Airport lounge benefits have also been enhanced. In addition to the existing service of two complimentary entries per year for the cardholder to Matina Lounge at Incheon Airport, two additional complimentary entries for a companion are now provided per year.

Airport lounge benefits are available for Shinhan Air One Card Amex brand when spending over 300,000 won the previous month.

Meanwhile, Shinhan Air One Card is Shinhan Card’s flagship Korean Air mileage accumulation card.

It gives users 1 mileage point per 1,000 KRW spent domestically and 2 miles per 1,000 won spent on domestic airline/duty-free purchases and overseas transactions.
