The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) announced that it launched the Dabujim Program, offering free legal and tax consulting services to housing pension customers on Sept. 9.
Dabujim represents a stable housing pension system that alleviates burdens with various experts.
The program offers free consultations through law firms on legal and tax-related matters that housing pension customers may have questions about, such as drafting wills and voluntary guardianship agreements, inheritance and gifts and reconstructing collateralized homes. The program will run until the budget runs out.
Housing pension customers can use the service up to five times. Housing pension applicants can use the service once during their application process and an additional four times after the contract withdrawal period - 30 days from the initial loan disbursement date.
Customers seeking a consultation can apply through the corporation¡¯s website, the Dabujim Corner, or KakaoTalk, a Korean mobile messenger service. Consultations will be processed in the order in which applications were received.
¡°HF launched the Dabujim Program to alleviate legal and tax-related inconveniences faced by housing pension customers,¡± said Kim Kyung-hwan, president of HF.
¡°We will continue to support housing pension customers¡¯ stable retirement and expand the provision of practical services that can satisfy the people.¡±
Promotion of AI Technology Development of Universities in Busan
HF announced on Sept. 10 that it signed a business agreement for joint AI-based research and education cooperation with Dong-A University and Pusan National University to foster talent and advance technology in the field of artificial intelligence.
Through the agreement, HF, Dong-A University and Pusan National University will collaborate on various areas including planning and conducting joint AI-based research and development projects, educational cooperation including operating field experience and consulting programs for college students, strengthening AI capabilities through introducing the latest AI trends and hosting technology seminars and laying the foundation for empirical research through the provision of testbeds and data for research and development.
¡°This agreement represents industry-academia cooperation aimed at fostering talent that meets the government¡¯s goal of becoming one of the Top 3 AI Powerhouses,¡± said Yoo Ho-jae, head of the Business Infrastructure Division at HF.
¡°HF will continue to strengthen its collaborative system to enhance local AI capabilities and sharpen the nation¡¯s AI competitiveness.¡±

MOU with National Committee on Low Birth Rate and Aging Society
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (President Kim Kyung-hwan) announced on Aug. 8 that it signed an MOU for joint response to the low birth rate crisis through homeownership with the Committee on Low Birth Rates and Aging Society at the Government Complex in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Through the agreement, HF will participate in raising public awareness of the low birth rate issue, pump up its efforts to expand housing finance support necessary to address the issue and lead the way in fostering a family-friendly corporate culture.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will pursue the following initiatives - expanding housing finance support to address low birth rate issues, operating and expanding family-friendly systems to promote work-life balance and identifying joint policy initiatives to address the nation¡¯s low birth rate crisis.
