The 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary, successfully took place at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park from August 1 to 3.
The festival was hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and organized by Incheon Tourism Organization.
The festival has been evaluated as having transformed the event from a representative festival symbolizing Korea into a world-class festival, establishing Incheon as the hub of K-Rock.
Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok said, “The Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival has become one of Korea’s representative festivals in celebration of the 20th anniversary, and we now strive to make the music festival a global one.”
“This year is a year in which the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival is taking a first step to become a global festival and we plan to nurture Incheon into a ‘K-Rock center’,” Mayor Yoo said.
The festival featured performances by Pulp, the iconic British pop band; Beck, the king of alternative rock; Asian Kung-Fu Generation; Audrey Nuna; Omoinotake, Jaurim, Crying Nut, Hyukoh X Sunset Rollercoaster, Little Simz, Babo, QWER, and 58 other top-notch acts from both domestic and international music scenes.
This year, in particular, overseas artists were featured as headliners for three consecutive days, completing a truly global lineup. This was a unique arrangement among domestic festivals, proving that it is a representative global cultural tourism festival that attracts music fans from around the world.
On the first day, August 1 (Fri), Asian Kung-Fu headlined the night with their signature delicate sensibility and energy.
Additionally, artists spanning various genres, including Jang Ki-ha, Little Simz, Touched, and Crying Nut, filled the stage.
The festival officially kicked off with the opening declaration and a drone show illuminating the night sky.
On the second day the legendary British pop band Pulp made their first official appearance in Asia, performing their hit songs such as “Common People” and “Disco 2000,” creating a legendary stage with thousands of audience members.
HYUKOH X SUNSET ROLLERCOASTER, and Omoinotake, among other domestic and international artists, took the stage one after another.
On the final day of the festival, the king of alternative rock, Beck, took the stage as the headliner, delivering explosive sound and a sensational performance.
The festival concluded successfully with performances by Jaurim, a leading figure in Korean rock, and Balming Tiger, known for their experimental performances.
‘Incheon FESTA Every Night’ Wraps Up with Good Reception
The Incheon Metropolitan City government and Incheon Tourism Organization (ITO) held the Incheon FESTA Every Night, whose programs were completed with great success in the Incheon open port area from June 20 and June 29.
The event, Incheon’s representative night festival, showcased a variety of programs, such as 1883 Imagination Platform Night Market, 1883 Incheon Mac-Gang Party and 2025 Korea BamBam Festa Incheon Edition.
The festival resulted in attracting approximately 120,000 people and about 4,050 foreigners. It is estimated to have brought about 15.6 billion won of consumption to the area.
The festival was extended into a stay-type night tourism program, mixed with performances, eating and other experiences, by integrating previous events.
It contributed to invigorating the regional economy through connectivity with the commercial districts.
In particular, differentiated programs such as a citizen song festival, a drone light show, and a silent DJ party featured a “Summer Night like Incheon” that encompassed all generations.
A night market remained open for five days at the “Imagination Platform” open port area, with night food festivals, combining foods of 32 businesses and performances.
An opening day performance, a drone light show, a DJ party and citizens’ participation events all received a good reception from all generations.
2025 Korea BamBam Festa Incheon Edition, jointly held by 10 night tourism cities across the nation, took place at the “Imagination Platform Wave Hall” on June 28.
LED photo zones and silent DJ parties and content customized for MZ generations received a good response.
1883 Incheon Mac-Gang Party took place on the same day under the theme of “Incheon-style Fried Chicken with Sweet and Spicy Sauce” and the region’s local breweries.
Diverse performances based on the motif of the Jemulpo Club’s Incheon’s first global exchange club, and convergence cultural night events earned a good reception.
Korean and foreign visitors were given the chance to experience Incheon’s summer nights with special memories.
