KEPCO E&C is Korea¡¯s only nuclear reactor design company that develops future eco-friendly energy technologies and manages all phases, from start to finish, of nuclear power plants to support a clear and clean global environment and enrich people¡¯s lives.

KEPCO E&C has pursued national economic growth by leading the design of nuclear reactor facilities and thermal power plants for the past 40 years.

The organization faithfully executed its role in being responsible for the design of nuclear reactor facilities throughout the entire cycle, from construction to decommissioning, prioritizing public safety.

The company has exported APR1400, the next-generation nuclear reactor technology with greatly improved safety and economic efficiency, to the United Arab Emirates.

That feat raised Korea¡¯s prestige in cutting-edge nuclear power technology to the next level.

Furthermore, KEPCO E&C strives to identify and kickstart promising new businesses, including combined cycle power generation and offshore wind power generation in the thermal and new business areas, reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) and creating a clean global environment in the process.

Expanding Steadfast Presence in Overseas Markets with Excellent Engineering Know-how
KEPCO E&C exported the APR1400 nuclear power design to the United Arab Emirates for the first time in 2009 and subsequently won orders for maintaining engineering projects for operational nuclear reactor facilities, corroborating the excellence of Korean nuclear power plants to the global market once again.

Moreover, the company has advanced into a global power plant engineering company by successfully implementing EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) projects in Africa and Indonesia.

KEPCO E&C aims to enter overseas markets, such as the Americas and Europe, by introducing excellent Korean nuclear power plant technology, as evidenced by the EU APR certification of European export model APR1000 and the DC certification of APR1400 by the U.S. NRC.

KEPCO E&C is always committed to becoming an energy company with complete and safe design technology.

By virtue of technological expertise and outstanding human resources, KEPCO E&C provides better nuclear power plant engineering services encompassing both the design of Nuclear Steam Supply Systems and Architect Engineering for local and overseas clients.

The company independently designed the Korean standard nuclear reactor, OPR 1000 and applied Hanul Units 3-4-5&6, Hanbit Units 5&6.

KEPCO E&C improved OPR 1000 in terms of safety and economic viability, and the company has incorporated it into the construction of 4 units (Shin-Kori Unit 1&2, Shin-Wolsong Units 1&2 in service).

Its APR1400, exported to the UAE, known as an internationally competitive next-generation nuclear power plant model, is also be installed in Saeul Units 1&2, and others.
