Hana Bank announced that it has launched the Robo-Advisor Service for the Management of Individual Retirement Plans (IRPs), marking a first for the financial sector.
The Robo-Advisor Service for the Management of IRPs was newly designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) in December 2024.
It is a service in which a robo-advisor automatically generates customized portfolios for investors through algorithms and manages the accumulated money of individual IRPs on behalf of investors.
Hana Bank announces on March 28 that it launched the Robo- Advisor Service for IRP Management.
Hana Bank has been proactively promoting the introduction of the robo-advisor service.
The lender signed business agreements with Mirae Asset Global Investments, AI Quantec, Korea Investment Trust Management to introduce the service after making a deal with Fount Investment, an investment management company, in February last year.
Based on this, Hana Bank will expand the service with Mirae Asset Global Investments in the second quarter of 2025, following the launch of the robo-advisor service with Fount Investment.
The Robo-Advisor Service for the Management of IRPs is a service that allows subscribers of individual IRPs to entrust up to 9 million won of the additional contributions which they pay each year.
If a subscriber agrees, his or her contributions can also be entrusted through the robo-advisor. Customers can sign up for the service through Hana Bank¡¯s smartphone application, Hana OneQ.

Meanwhile, Hana Bank has been providing various services to help customers efficiently manage their pension assets.
The services include the newly launched mobile retirement planning solution ¡°Hana the Next Pension Planner¡± and the ¡°Hana the Next Retirement Solution¡± service that provides retirement preparation counseling to customers visiting branches in December 2024.
Preferential Interest Rates for First-Time Savings and Installment Savings Customers
Hana Bank announced that it will hold a promotion which offers preferential interest rate coupons to customers who sign up for savings and installment savings with Hana Bank.
The promotion will be held through Hana OneQ App and run until April 30. It targets customers who have not signed up for savings or installment savings accounts at Hana Bank within the past year (March 1, 2024 to Feb. 28, 2025).
First-time savings customers will receive a coupon for 0.20 percent (pre-tax) per annum on Hana Term Deposit with a maximum interest rate of 3.05 percent (pre-tax) per annum when the coupon is applied.
The new subscription limit is 50 million won. The contract period is one year.
First-time installment savings customers will receive a coupon for a 2.50 percent (pre-tax) interest rate and can sign up for a maximum of 5.50 percent (pre-tax) interest rate when using the coupon.
The monthly payment amount can be up to 200,000 won. The contract period is one year.
Hana Bank will give a total of 60,000 interest rate coupons. Customers can obtain them from the event page of Hana Bank¡¯s mobile app, Hana OneQ.
In addition, 20 customers who use the coupons to sign up for both deposit and savings products during the event will be selected by lottery to receive BBQ chicken sets as gifts.
