Gangwon State and Gangwon Tourism Organization (GTO) have been embarking on the ¡°Gangwon Tourism Accommodations Sales Festa¡± on the occasion of ¡°Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026¡± in cooperation with 18 other city and county governments.
The sales festa is a promotion specialization event designed to publicize a variety of events and hidden tourism spots the province¡¯s each city and county boast in cooperation with the travel and leisure platform GC Company ¡°Yeogi Eottae.¡±
Gangwon State, GTO and 18 cities and counties distribute coupons each offering up to 30,000 won discount targeting travelers of tourist spots designated as ¡°the Month of Tourism Destination¡± at 10 a.m. every morning starting from March 17.

The event will last until December on the occasion of Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026. Starting with Chuncheon and Wonju, designated as tourism destinations of March, information will be posted on the GC Company app and its official website.
Information on additional special discount events offered by Chuncheon and Wonju will be unveiled.
During the event, information on festivals of each region of Gangwon State will be informed on a gradual basis.
Starting with the sales festa, Gangwon State, GTO and 18 cities and counties plan to join force to ramp up activities to attract tourists to the state.

GTO CEO Choi Sung-hyun said, ¡°This event is expected to serve as an opportunity for many tourists to tour Gangwon State to take rest and feel relaxed.¡±
Gangwon State has set in motion to implement projects in conjunction of the hosting of the Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026 with the goal of ushering in an ¡°era of 200 million tourists.¡±
The projects have been carried out with a plan to help the province¡¯s tourism industry with a nationwide upper hand in several indexes make a leap forward through more aggressive tourism campaigns.
The province now attracts some 150 million tourists annually.

2025 Four Seasons of Gangwon ¡°Spring¡± took place at Chuncheon Art Center on March 19 with Inmo Yang (violin), Jonathan Ware (piano) in attendance.

2025 Music in PyeongChang is scheduled to be held under the theme ¡°Inter Harmony¡± from July 23 until Aug. 2 at PyeongChang Alpensia Concert Hall, Music Tent, Gangwon State.
Music in PyeongChang, the 22nd rendition of concert this year, is one of the nation¡¯s largest classical music festivals, being held in PyeongChang annually.
2025 Music in PyeongChang, being held on the occasion of Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026, aims to demonstrate Gangwon State¡¯s art power to the world and purse shared growth between regional areas and art world.
GTO Holds ¡®2025 India Holi Hai Festival¡¯
Gangwon Tourism Organization and Chuncheon City jointly hold ¡°2025 India Holi Hai Festival¡± at a riverside part in front of Chuncheon Bears Hotel on March 16.
2025 India Holi Hai Festival is an event based on the motif of India¡¯s representative ¡°Holi Festival,¡± dubbed ¡°The Festival of Colors, Love and Spring.¡±
Participants throw colors of power and dance during the festival, hosted by the Indians in Korea (IIK) community and patronized by GTO and Chuncheon City.
The festival, taking place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., is expected to attract some 1,500 Korean and foreign tourists.
It comprises of an opening ceremony, K-pop and Indian pop performances, color throwing (Bollywood DJ Party) and the operation of a publicity booth designed to promote the Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026.
GTO is ramping up publicity strategies so that inbound tourist can enjoy diverse cultural experiences in conjunction with the Visit Gangwon Year 2025-2026.
Specialty programs, such as regional specialty products and traditional cultural experiences will be in place to introduce the province¡¯s tourism gems during the Holi Festival.
