KB Kookmin Card held the inauguration ceremony for new CEO Kim Jae-kwan at KB Kookmin Card¡¯s headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on Jan. 2.

¡°Despite difficult situations, both internally and externally, let¡¯s turn the current crisis into an opportunity and change into a fast and dynamic company to provide the best value to our customers,¡± Kim said in his inaugural message.

Kim laid out a blueprint to create a KB Kookmin Card that communicates with an open heart, a KB Kookmin Card where execution is the best value, that works together, and prepares for the future with a long-term perspective.

¡°KB Kookmin Card will fulfill its social responsibilities as the backbone of people¡¯s finance by making morals and principles the top priority in its decision making, practicing win-win finance for small businesses and the financially underprivileged, and revitalizing local commercial areas.¡±

Finally, Kim concluded his inaugural speech with a New Year¡¯s greeting, saying, ¡°If everyone gathers wisdom and challenges for a positive change, 2025 will be a momentum for KB Kookmin Card to grow stronger.¡±

Meanwhile, to coincide with the inauguration of new president Kim Jae-kwan, KB Card has reorganized to become a future-leading company that delivers the best experience to customers through differentiated capabilities and new challenges.

The reorganization is aimed at strengthening the execution of a customer-centric organization, strengthening growth areas based on organizational efficiency, and the commercialization of future growth businesses.

To strengthen the execution power of KB Kookmin Card as a customer-centric organization, the Customer Strategy Group was reorganized into the General Customer Sales Group.

The Individual Customer Group, the Corporate Customer Group, and the SOHO/SME headquarters were reorganized into the Individual Sales Group, Corporate Sales Group, and SOHO/SME Sales Headquarters.

At the same time, KB Kookmin Card set up the Customer Experience Management Department and Corporate Customer Sales Department to strengthen its customer management/sales organization.

To strengthen growth areas based on organizational efficiency and nimbleness, KB Kookmin Card reorganized the Financial Sales Group and the Global Business Group into the Financial/Global Business Group, and consolidated departments that perform similarly related tasks.

Moreover, it slimmed down 19 sales offices to 13 regional units and established the Management Efficiency Department to strengthen the constitution of its overall organization.

In order to develop future growth drivers into core businesses, KB Kookmin Card expanded and reorganized the SOHO/SME Sales Division, Embedded Partnership Division among others to refine B2B business models and promote new businesses based on strategic alliances, and reorganized the Platform Business Group to strengthen a connection with the main businesses based on platform customer analysis and expand a positive contribution to platform revenue.

This reorganization left KB Kookmin Card with 13 groups and four headquarters.
