The Incheon Tourism Organization (ITO) plans to evolve the SangSang Platform into Incheon¡¯s representative cultural hotspot through regional cooperation and expanded seasonal events, by making the most of the surging visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday and vacation season.
ITO said the SangSang (Imagination) Platform, formerly a grain storage and trade center, attracted some 70,000 visitors for the month of January by operating diverse culture and experience programs on the occasion of the Lunar New Year and winter vacation seasons.
In particular, an event releasing BYD EVs to the public, which took place from Jan. 19 to Feb. 2, played a part in boosting the number of visitors.
The event became the subject of keen attention among neighborhood residents and tourists by operating a program of experiencing BYD EVs, a lottery and a children¡¯s safety class.
The Museum L II Hall was the venue of ¡°the Kids Media Art Air Bounce Exhibition,¡± a combination of air bounce and media art, targeting kids for winter vacation.
¡°Winter Magic in Bubble Land,¡± a magic show for kids, took place on the main auditorium on the third floor. They contributed to boosting the number of family visitors.

Traditional experience events in which diverse generations can enjoy together during the Lunar New Year holiday season included ¡°Yunnori,¡± (traditional Korean board game), ¡°Jegichaki¡± (a folk play), and a hanbok experience event.
From now on, ITO plans to promote ways of cooperating among the SangSang Platform, the Incheon National Maritime Museum (INMM), China Town and other neighborhood tourist sites and regional shopping zones to spur an inflow of visitors and encourage them to stay longer.
ITO plans to redouble efforts to attract children and family visitors in cooperation with INMM.
¡°The Kids Media Art Air Bounce Exhibition,¡± targeting kids for winter vacation, takes place at the Museum L II Hall of the SangSanng Platform.
Meanwhile, ITO plans to hold diverse citizen-friendly programs, varying according to each session and theme to attract tourists this year.
The first such event is SangSang Platform Vintage Market, taking place from Feb. 22 until March 3.
ITO President Baig Hyeon said, ¡°The operating of diverse programs during the Lunar New Year and winter vacation seasons has brought many citizens and visitors, and ITO will devote itself to making it Incheon¡¯s representative multiple culture space by ramping up collaboration with the district and exploring differentiated cultural content.¡±
Incheon City and ITO Hold 2025 Incheon Tourism Support Business Session
The Incheon City government and the Incheon Tourism Organization held the 2025 Incheon Tourism Company Support Center Business Explanation Session at a conference room of the center on Feb. 21.
The session was designed to help tourism company utilize support programs effectively by offering the direction of the Incheon Tourism Company Support Center ¡®s business projects and information on each project.
It explained details of each project, such as cultivating of the tourism/MICE startups, supporting of digital transition, supporting of collaboration among companies, an ¡°open innovation challenge,¡± a product experience fair and publicity marking support, and supporting of employment support funds.
Kim Tae-hyun, head of the Tourism Industry Office at ITO, said, ¡°I hope more companies with potential and capabilities will participate in more projects of the Incheon Tourism Company Support Center through the business explanation session, and the center will continue to serve as a partner to lead innovation and growth of the regional tourism industry.¡±
