Vice Chmn. Han Jong-hee of Samsung Electronics and Vice Chmn. Jun Young-hyun, head of Device Solutions Division, sent the 2025 New Year’s joint message to executives and staffers of Samsung Electronics via the company’s in-house e-mail system on Jan. 2.
Vice Chmn. Han and Vice Chmn. Jun emphasized solidifying a foundation for a leap forward based on “super difference” technology leadership and efforts to secure new growth engines.
“Now is the time for dramatic innovation, surpassing the conventional success methods with the AI technologies passing an inflection point, and let’s establish ourselves as a secure device AI leader through advanced intelligence,” they said.
Vice Chmn. Han and Vice Chmn. Jun said, “The future of AI will provide many opportunities for us, and we have to explore new products, businesses and innovative business models earlier and aggressively push investments into future technology and manpower.”
They also stressed quality competitiveness and law-abiding management.
Vice Chmn. Han and Vice Chmn. Jun said, “We’ve beefed-up departments related to AI and quality, and let’s devote ourselves to securing future technology leadership and thorough quality.”
Lastly, they called for giving law and ethics compliance a top management tenet and devoting themselves to establishing a law-abiding corporate culture and making this year a year recorded as a take-off and growth in the history of Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Showcases Home AI Innovations
Samsung Electronics redefined its vision for the smart home at CES 2025 in Las Vegas — introducing Home AI, a suite of user-focused AI solutions providing truly personalized services for living spaces.
On January 9, Samsung Newsroom visited the company’s Home AI exhibition to experience firsthand the hyper-personalized appliances that embody Samsung’s transformative approach to home living.
When asked, “Tell me my schedule for today,” Bixby instantly displayed the day’s agenda linked to the connected account on the Bespoke 4-Door Refrigerator with AI Family Hub.
Bixby’s ability to distinguish between multiple voices allows each household member to access information from their personal account.
Bixby also offers an accessibility feature that automatically syncs and transfers phone settings with connected appliances through voice recognition.
For instance, if large print mode is activated on a user’s phone to accommodate vision impairments, the setting will automatically sync with the Family Hub™ refrigerator and display information in the same large text format for improved usability.
In addition, Bixby is useful for retrieving photos or locating a misplaced smartphone.
Recipe Recommendations and Automated Cooking Settings
Bixby generated a list of food ingredients on the refrigerator screen when asked, “Are there any ingredients nearing their expiration date?” Noting that cream cheese and eggs were about to expire, Bixby suggested a selection of dishes when a request was made for recipes using those ingredients.
Finally, Bixby promptly began preheating the Bespoke Slide-in Range when instructed to choose the first recipe and send to the oven.
Bixby’s ability to set cooking times and temperatures with just a few simple voice commands highlights the convenience of Samsung’s Home AI technology.
Integrated with AI, Samsung’s appliances streamline meal preparation — changing a traditionally time-consuming process into something more efficient and manageable.

“Even though the robot business is still at a starting stage, if new technologies are employed flexibly, we will have change of winning,” Vice Chmn. Han Jong-hee, chief of the Device Experience Division at Samsung Electronics said on the sidelines of CES 2025 in Las Vegas on Jan. 7.
