Providing 700B Won in Support via 2nd Export Package Preferential Financing Program

Hana Bank announced on Jan. 16 that it signed a business agreement with Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (KSURE) to launch the 2nd Export Package Preferential Financing Program.

On the same day, Hana Bank and KSURE signed a business agreement at Hana Bank¡¯s headquarters in Euljiro, Seoul.

The Export Package Preferential Financing Program is run by KSURE with seven commercial banks.

It provides liquidity to small and medium-sized Korean exporters suffering from high interest rates and an economic recession.

Last year, Hana Bank exhausted the first batch of the program¡¯s 510 billion won in preferential financing for export packages.

Through this agreement, Hana Bank provided a special contribution of 30 billion won.

This brings the total amount that can be lent to 51 billion won.

If you add the remaining amount of the previous contribution to this, the total amount of financing will arrive at 700 billion won.

In addition, Hana Bank¡¯s own products will provide a total of KRW 2 trillion in liquidity including ¡°Export-Import Hana Loan,¡± a one-trillion-won special loan and a limited-time special interest rate support program with 300 billion won for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Hana Bank¡¯s 2nd Export Package Preferential Financing Program will provide benefits to small and medium-sized enterprises, including 100 percent payment of guarantees and insurance premiums, reduced loan interest rates, and preferential foreign exchange fees.

In addition to export credit guarantees, SMEs with a track record of import customs clearance that are engaged in the manufacturing of materials, parts, and equipment will also receive the same benefits of import payment financing and 100 percent insurance premium payment through the issuance of import insurance.

¡°This program is designed to provide more diverse and quicker access to funds that Korean exporters actually need as they are constantly facing difficulties due to abrupt exchange rate fluctuations and high inflation,¡± said Lee Ho-seong, President of Hana Bank.

¡°Hana Bank will continue to collaborate with K-SURE to be a reliable partner for Korean exporters.¡±
