Shinhan Bank Launches ¡®Shinhan Payback Money¡¯ in Partnership with GS Caltex
Will run a financial support program for SMEs and individual customers affected by a heavy snowfall that engulfed the Seoul Metropolitan Area

Shinhan Bank announced on Nov. 27 that it launched Shinhan Payback Money, a recharge and payment service that enhances customer benefits. 

The new service will debut through GS Caltex¡¯s Energy Plus App. 

Shinhan Payback Money is a recharge and payment service that connects to deposit and withdrawal accounts, ensuring safety by managing recharge funds directly through Shinhan Bank.

It also provides customers with cash back benefits for their payment amounts.

Customers can freely choose their deposit or withdrawal accounts of various financial companies, such as banks and securities companies, to register for the Shinhan Payback Money Service. 

They can also use other payment methods besides credit and debit cards, which improves convenience. 

Shinhan Bank¡¯s Payback Money service was first introduced to Energy Plus App in collaboration with GS Caltex. 

To use the Shinhan Payback Money Service on the GS Caltex Energy Plus App, users can select a payment method among those in the Instant Refueling menu.

If customers want to pay with Shinhan Payback Money, they can pay with the amount they have already charged and pay directly from an account. 

Shinhan Payback Money cashback is 1 percent of the payment amount when using a Shinhan Bank account and 0.5 percent when using an account of another financial company. 

Shinhan Bank will hold special events to celebrate the launch of the Shinhan Payback Money Service with GS Caltex. 

All customers who pay with Shinhan Payback Money on Energy Plus App will receive 10 percent cashback (up to 2,000 won). 

Ten customers will be selected through a daily lottery to receive 100 percent cashback on their payments.

Shinhan Payback Money will also offer a gas discount coupon of 1,000 won when registering for the service for the first time, a gas discount coupon of 2,000 won when registering for Shinhan PaybackMoney with the Instant Refueling payment method. 

Customers will receive a gas discount coupon of up to 9,000 won depending on the number of Shinhan Payback Money payments. This event will run until the end of December.

Financial Support for Recovery from Heavy Snowfall

Shinhan Bank announced on Nov. 29 that it will run a financial support program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual customers affected by a recent record-breaking heavy snowfall that engulfed the Seoul Metropolitan Area. 

Shinhan Bank will provide new loans of up to 500 million won and offer a special preferential interest rate of up to 1.5 percentage points in support of SMEs and small businesses affected by the heavy snowfall.

In addition, Shinhan Bank will help ease the burden of financial expenses on them by providing the unconditional postponement of repayment of some of principal when loans mature, special preferential interest rates (up to 1.5 percentage points for one year), and the deferment of installment payments. 

In the case of overdue loans, the bank will also cut overdue interest. 

Individual customers who are confirmed to be affected by the heavy snowfall will be provided with emergency livelihood stabilization funds of up to 20 million won per person if they meet debt service ratio DSR conditions. 


Food Delivery App ¡®Daenggyeoyo¡¯ for Gyeonggi Province

Shinhan Bank announced on Dec. 2 that it signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Provincial government on Sept. 29 to rev up public delivery apps, selecting Daenggyeoyo as a public delivery app for Gyeonggi Province. 

The Gyeonggi Provincial government selected Daengyeoyo with a brokerage fee of 2 percent to ease the burden of delivery fees on small businesses. 

Through this agreement, Shinhan Bank will complement the limitations of Daenggyeoyo as a public delivery app, strengthen public-private cooperation and support small businesses.

Shinhan Bank will provide marketing funds to new franchisees in Gyeonggi Province. 

Merchants will receive 200,000 won in owner support funds to issue their own coupons. 

Those who change their settlement accounts to Shinhan Bank accounts will receive 50 4,000-won discount coupons worth 4,000 won, which can be used on the first business day of the next month.
