KOSPO held a ceremony to designate the best suppliers of the year 2012 and present awards to them on Jan. 10. Under the KOSPO Best Supplier System, in place since 2006, the power company each year selects and awards its cooperative partners that have achieved remarkable achievements by localizing power equipment and components, cutting down on production costs, developing new technologies, and introducing new engineering methods. The cooperative partners that receive awards are given support in acquiring new technology, quality and industrial patent certification, fees for education commissioned to specialized institutions, and additional points in the selection of exhibition participation beneficiaries.
The selected best suppliers of the year 2012 in the equipment and component category are KNTEC, Dongsuh, PNC TECH, Korea Air Conditioning Tech Co., and J-E TECH. Jungam E&C is KOSPO¡¯s best supplier in the construction subcontractor category.
At the ceremony, KOSPO President Lee Sang-ho stressed cooperation from SMEs in achieving its goal of becoming a global top 10 power company and called for the present cooperative partners to suggest ideas for improving management conditions for SMEs.
KOSPO, which has so far promoted a 2-Wins strategy between the power company and cooperative partners, is now implementing a 3-Wins strategy among the power company, cooperative partners, and the state & people, a KOSPO official said.
KOSPO plans to pursue the commercialization of core power parts developed under its own R&D projects and provide one-stop support, such as support for market exploration to foster world-class companies.
