Korea Rural Community Corp. (KRC) participated in the AGRILINK 2024 held in Manila from Oct. 3 to 5, demonstrating the excellent quality and competitiveness of Korean made agricultural equipment and materials.
Approximately 500 companies from about 30 countries participated in the AGRILINK 2024, marking the 30th rendition.
KRC set up a 288-square-meter Korean pavilion to display a variety of agricultural equipment and materials, including agricultural machineries, fertilizers, agricultural chemicals and seeds.
KRC helped Korean companies successfully participate, as the corporation made seamless preparations.
KRC¡¯s participation in the fair brought about 162 negotiation cases worth $1.5 million.
It confirmed the potential of the Philippine market, following the exploration of the Vietnamese market in September.

KRC President Lee Byung-ho said, ¡°The quality of agricultural equipment and materials, produced by Korean companies has reached world-class levels, and we will not spare efforts to provide full support so that Korean companies can play an active part in the global market, as we did during the expo in the Philippines.¡±
KRC Declares Vision on Manpower Development
Korea Rural Community Corp. held a ceremony to declare a vision for manpower development, calling for ¡°flexible, innovative manpower, agricultural and fishing villages growing together¡± at KRC headquarters on Sept. 25.
Flexible, innovative manpower is the reflection of the KRC¡¯s willingness to develop manpower capable of proactively coping with diverse challenges, such as grain security, climate change and the gap between urban cities and rural areas.
¡°Agricultural and fishing villages growing together¡± means KRC¡¯s commitment of fulfilling its social responsibility as a public entity through communication and sympathy.
KRC plans to implement three major tasks to realize the vision on manpower development – strengthening members¡¯ capabilities, building advanced education training foundation, and upgrading of the Manpower Development Institute¡¯s roles.
KRC President Lee Byung-ho said, ¡°As KRC¡¯s roles, such as coping with digital transformation and climate crisis and required capabilities have changed endlessly, KRC will be reborn as an institution leading the future of agricultural and fishing villages based on the new vision for manpower development.¡±
KRC Wins ¡®Excellent Prize¡¯ in Environment Category at Korea ESG Innovation Policy Grand Awards
Amid rising concern over ESG management among the private sector and public entities, Korea Rural Community Corp. has been recognized for making ESG management achievements.
KRC took home the ¡°excellent prize¡± in the environment category at the 3rd Korea ESG Innovation Policy Grand Awards, administered by the Korea Association of Policy Studies on Oct. 11.
Korea ESG Innovation Policy Grand Awards are presented to public entities which have implemented excellent ESG policies with the goal of exploring, sharing and spreading excellent ESG policy examples. KRC was honored with the best prize at 2023 Korea ESG Innovation Policy Grand Awards, and this year, KRC won the excellent prize in the environment category.
KRC has designated ¡°Agricultural and Fishing Village Love Green Value 2030¡± as its ESG management vision and recognized for its outcomes through diverse environment activities by implementing strategic tasks — expanding of low-carbon energy businesses, spearheading of climate change response and carbon neutrality, and preserving the environment of the environment and developing green management with the goal of coping with climate change and realizing green management.
