IFEZ has designated the period between Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 as the ¡°IFEZ, Incheon Global Top 10 City Week¡±.

An IR session was held for global investors, ¡°Smart City Summit¡± and Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Form to step up Incheon¡¯s global leadership.

IFEZ has a competitive edge in the future advanced industry sectors, such as smart city and bio.

The free economic zone has hosted the IFEZ, Incheon Global Top 10 City Week to spearhead a global cooperation regime for the development of an innovation ecosystem and concentrate on its capabilities to grow into a new business creation center.

Targeting cities, companies and would-be investors sympathizing Incheon¡¯s global leadership, the week has featured field-oriented IR sessions, multi-lateral treaties with 10 cities, the launching of a project with Microsoft and a conference led by global tech companies in the Korea-China future advanced industry sectors.

Foreign investors were given the chance to tour fields, such as Cytiva and Smart City operation centers and look at success cases at each center in IR sessions held on Nov. 8 and Nov. 11.

Seventy attendees at the Invest Korea Summit and 100 people with FFEZ, Incheon Global Top 10 City Week participated in IR sessions held on Nov. 8 and Nov. 11, respectively.

As global trade and commerce environments are expected to undergo great changes in the wake of the new U.S. President Donald Trump¡¯s administration¡¯s tariff barriers and the restructuring of global supply chains, IFEZ plans to make the event as a momentum to step up partnerships among participating cities, promote international cooperation and create new business opportunities.

To this end, representatives from six countries and 10 cities declared ¡°Incheon Smart City Initiative¡± by striking multilateral treaties, calling for each city to jointly cope with a public health crisis by sharing smart city and supporting the nurturing of startups and nurture bio manpower.

Some 200 business people from the AI, digital twin, deep learning and other diverse global tech companies held IR sessions to showcase technologies at Incheon Startup Park on Nov. 13. IFEZ plans to launch a joint project to nurture unicorn companies by exploring startups in cooperation with Microsoft.

The Korea-China Future Advanced Industry Forum held at Songdo Conventia invited Bio & health care, mobility & automobile, green energy and smart logistics company officials to explore ways of becoming an advanced industry supply chain center.

IFEZ Commissioner Yoon Won-seok said, ¡°We will create growth engines by stepping up global leadership through IFEZ¡¯s success model Incheon has achieved and devoting itself to attracting investment and creating new business models.¡±
