KB Kookmin Card Makes a Milestone by Hitting 13 Million KB Pay Customers

KB Kookmin Card announced on Oct. 8 that it will hold various events to commemorate the 13 millionth KB Pay member.

The “We Give 3 BMW MINIs! Where’s My MINI~?” Event will give away three BMW MINI Cooper to KB Pay customers who apply three times until Nov. 10 – the first time until Oct. 13, the second from Oct. 14-27, the third time from Oct. 28-Nov. 10.

New customers who sign up for KB Pay during the event period will receive three additional chances. First-time asset-linked customers will receive one additional chance.

Multiple entries are possible, and Push notification consent is automatically applied when entering the event.

Until Oct. 31, you can participate in the 130-million-won allowance event. All KB Pay customers can randomly receive from 10 Pointree points up to 50,000 Pointree points.

KB Pay customers will also be able to participate in an interactive commenting event, “A coffee Truck for You.”

Until Oct. 31, you can submit a comment on the KB Pay event page for the coffee truck by writing why you want to use the free coffee truck service.

You can submit a story that expresses your gratitude to family, friends, or acquaintances.

A total of 13 winners will be selected and a coffee service truck will visit locations of their choice, giving KB Pay customers special memories.

Moreover, KB Kookmin Card will give free donuts for 3,000 new members and discount coupons on Yogiyo food delivery services and KB Pay Shopping goods and services.

KB Card holds various events to celebrate the 13 millionth KB Pay customer.

Free Hotel Brunch Voucher

KB Kookmin Card announced on Oct. 27 that it will give various giveaways for KB Traveler’s Check Card members for the travel season of October.

Kookmin Card will be holding a contest to win a hotel brunch when using KB Traveler’s Check Card in Japan until the end of October.

After entering the contest, KB Traveler’s Check Card users who spend 10,000 yen or more in Japan with the card will receive two 20,000-yen-or more brunch which they can use at a hotel in Korea.

A total of 14 hotels in Korea are eligible, and you can check the list of eligible hotels on the event page.

Fall Amusement Park Discount Event

On Oct. 7, KB Kookmin Card announced various amusement park discount events for the fall season.

The events range from discounts on park tickets to hotel packages for KB Card members at Legoland and Seoul Land.

The Legoland Monster Castle with Park and Hotel Benefits event will run for KB Card members at Legoland until Nov. 7. Seoul Land will offer discounts on park tickets for KB Card members until Dec. 1.

Financial Fraud Prevention through quick notifications

To protect financial consumers from increasingly sophisticated credit card frauds and financial frauds, KB Kookmin Card operates a dedicated financial fraud response unit.

KB Kookmin Card’s Fraud Detection System (FDS) runs 24 hours a day to detect abnormal transactions in card authorization transactions, non-face-to-face authentication transactions and short- and long-term card loans.

In May, the credit card issuer upgraded the FDS with an AI incident detection model and an automatic re-learning solution to expand the detection range of the FDS based on advanced AI technology.

In particular, in the case of non-face-to-face transactions, KB Kookmin Card also incorporated big data variables such as KB Pay access information to further strengthen its fraud and accident prevention function.

Since the introduction of a malicious app detection solution in 2021, the credit care company have been able to prevent financial frauds for about 9,400 customers by the end of last year.
