NongHyup Bank announced on Sept. 27 that it participated in the National Foundation Day Event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in London, the United Kingdom, to promote the excellence of Korean agricultural products.
The bank has been proactively promoting Korean agricultural products abroad for four consecutive years since 2021.
At the event, NongHyup Bank publicized high-quality NongHyup agricultural products, including red ginseng, instant boiled rice, rice crackers, citrus tea, Yakgwa and dried seaweed.
Yakgwa is traditional Korean cookies made with flour, sesame oil, honey, rice wine, cinnamon and ginger juice.
These products drew much interest from British dignitaries, diplomatic personnel, and local residents who visited the event venue. NongHyup Bank will continue to strive to promote the globalization of Korean agricultural products and publicize them in the global market.
Meanwhile, NongHyup Bank aims to open a branch in London in the first half of next year to expand its local financial network and further strengthen the position of the NongHyup brand.

Rural Travel Service ¡®NH Today Travel¡¯
On Oct. 2, NongHyup Bank announced that it opened NH Today Travel, a rural travel service to rev up the tourism industry of rural areas in Korea, on NongHyup All One Bank, a representative platform of NongHyup Financial Group.
NH Today Travel provides Korea Rural Community Corporation¡¯s experience recreation village recommendation service, ¡°the Best Farming Town,¡± the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation¡¯s Farm Stay Program, and NongHyup Travel¡¯s daily experiences in one place.
In addition, in cooperation with ActiBooky, a platform company specializing in rural travel, you can make real-time reservations and make credit card payment at once.
The service is available on NongHyup All One Bank¡¯s Life+ menu. In order to commemorate the opening of this service, NongHyup Bank held an even to sell 300 customers rural experience products at 5,900 won, and 300 customers who applied by October 13 received 50,000-won rural travel coupons.
¡°We signed a business agreement with KRC and ActiBooky in June to revitalize rural travel in Korea,¡± said Jeong Jae-ho, deputy head of NongHyup Bank¡¯s Digital Strategy Business Division.
Financial and Coding Education Program for Elementary School Students
NongHyup Bank announced on Sept. 26 that it held a financial and coding class for students from Indukwon Elementary School at NongHyup IDEA Ground located in the bank¡¯s integrated IT center in Uiwang.
The education consisted of coding education with computers, IT technology experiences such as metaverse and AI, and basic financial education with the support of NongHyup Bank¡¯s Gyeonggi Headquarters.
In particular, the program received a great response from the participating students by helping them easily experience digital currencies and NFT issuance using blockchains, which the student might feel is somewhat difficult.
¡°We will continue to expand financial education and programming experiences for elementary school students who will lead future growth drivers,¡± said Hwang Jae-hyun, deputy vice president of NongHyup Bank¡¯s IT Division who orchestrated the educational program.
